Couple that with consistent reports in Italy, such as from L’Interista, that feel there’s a real chance to sign Leoni permanently this summer and it does feel as though Liverpool are already moving on from the Italian. That would be an incredibly brutal decision - but perhaps not a shocking one at the elite level.
