The LIV golfer, who believes the PGA Tour needs him more than he needs the PGA Tour, hasn't done much to state his case lately.
DeChambeau shot a 1-over 71 in the second round of the PGA Championship for a total of 7-over 147, missing the cut by three shots. He was 10-over for the tournament before finishing the second round with three birdies.
This marks the third missed cut in a major in his last four starts and second this year after carding a 6-over 150 for his two rounds at the Masters.

DeChambeau's score was his worst to par in nine PGA Championship starts.
With the wind picking up for the second round at Aronimink Golf Club, the cut line was 4-over par. Many golfers also cited the difficult pin placements.
DeChambeau's majors slump comes after his best run having placed in the top 6 in five of his previous six tournaments, including in 2024 when he was runner-up at PGA Championship and U.S. Open champion.
DeChambeau, who declined to speak to reporters after both rounds, told reporters at LIV's recent tournament in Virginia he is "prepared to grow his YouTube channel" if LIV Golf folds and penalties are severe to return to the PGA Tour.

Tommy Fleetwood is the highest-ranked golfer to miss the cut at the PGA Championship. The Englishman, ranked No. 6 in the world, shot a 72-73 for a total of 5-over 145 for the first two rounds.
Other notables to miss the cut: Akshay Bhatia at 5-over; Viktor Hovland, Keegan Bradley and Gary Woodland 6-over; Billy Horschel and Adam Scott 8-over; Max Homa 12-over.
Garrick Higgo, who was assessed a two-shot penalty for being late by less than a minute for his starting tee time before the first round, missed the cut by one shot after shooting a 6-over 76 for round two and fishing 5-over.
