Bryson DeChambeau plans to build YouTube platform if LIV Golf folds
LIV golf star Bryson DeChambeau recently addressed the swirling speculation about his future with the Saudi Arabia-backed league, especially with its current funding set to expire at the end of the year.
In a candid update, DeChambeau revealed that should the league not continue, he plans to channel his energy into expanding his YouTube presence and selectively competing in tournaments "that want me."
The two-time major champion acknowledged ongoing conversations with the PGA Tour regarding a possible return, though he refrained from sharing specifics about what that pathway might entail or whether a return is truly on the table.
"I think, from my perspective, I'd love to grow my YouTube channel three times, maybe even more," DeChambeau said, according to ESPN. "I'd love to do a bunch of dubbing in different languages, giving the world more reason to watch YouTube. And then I'd love to play tournaments that want me."

DeChambeau was among 11 high-profile golfers who departed the PGA Tour in 2022 to join LIV Golf, a move that sent shockwaves through the professional golf community. He became part of a lawsuit against the PGA Tour, alleging that the organization wielded its monopoly power to unfairly suspend players who made the leap to the rival league. However, in May 2023, DeChambeau withdrew his name from the federal lawsuit.
DeChambeau has stated that he believed that the LIV Golf league was financially secure through 2032, so news that the Public Investment Fund (PIF) would cease its support after this year came as a genuine surprise. Despite the uncertainty, he expressed confidence in LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil and the league’s newly appointed board of directors and advisers, stating his belief that they will navigate these challenges and chart the best possible course for the league’s future.
DeChambeau’s LIV Golf contract is set to expire at the end of this season.
