A week after reports first leaked out that the Milwaukee Bucks were hiring former Memphis Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins as head coach, the franchise finally made it official April 30.
Not only that, but the Bucks said Jenkins will be introduced at a news conference at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, at the Milwaukee Art Museum on the city's lakefront, and the conference will be open to the public as capacity permits.
More details will follow soon, but the splashy introduction will mark that start of a crucial offseason for the Milwaukee Bucks, in which the future of Giannis Anteotokounmpo hangs in the balance.
New Bucks coach Taylor Jenkins led the Memphis Grizzlies from 2019-25, going 250-214, and before that was an assistant to Mike Budenholzer in Milwaukee.

Jenkins served as head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies from 2019-25, going 250-214 (.539) with four playoff trips and a franchise record for victories in a season with 56 in 2021-22.
Prior to that, Jenkins served as an assistant with the Bucks in 2018-19 on Mike Budenholzer's staff. That Bucks team won 60 games and reached the Eastern Conference Finals, recording its first playoff-series victories since 2001.

Jenkins, 41, is a native of Dallas and becomes the franchise's 19th head coach.
