A long, tumultuous season in Milwaukee has come to an end with the Bucks missing the postseason for the first time in nine years.
But an even more painful offseason may be coming for Bucks fans, as the franchise weighs the possibility of parting with longtime superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The Bucks finished 32-50 -- their worst record since Antetokounmpo's rookie season of 2013-14 -- and Milwaukee is moving on from head coach Doc Rivers in what is expected to be a franchise-altering summer. Antetokounmpo played a career-low 36 games and embarked on a public dispute with the team over his health.
It feels like a mutual separation is imminent in the months ahead, which would bring down the curtain on a golden era of Bucks basketball.

Andy Bailey at Bleacher Report has one trade idea for the Bucks that would net Milwaukee a former top overall pick as the centerpiece of their next era.
It would involve dealing Antetokounmpo to the Orlando Magic in exchange for Paolo Banchero, Wendell Carter Jr., a first-round pick swap in 2031 and a 2032 first-round pick.
Of course, that trade would be contingent on Antetokounmpo agreeing to sign a contract extension with Orlando, which is in the Play-In Tournament for the second successive season. But the Magic -- at least on paper -- are in a contention window after last summer's trade for Desmond Bane. Acquiring two-time MVP Antetokounmpo would put Orlando squarely in the conference title conversation.
Banchero signed a five-year, $239 million rookie contract extension last summer, but there are questions about his long-term fit next to Franz Wagner in Orlando. Banchero is only 23 and has averaged at least 20 points per game in each of his four NBA seasons, but his shooting continues to be a concern, even if his playmaking offsets some of the worries over his inefficiency.
Nevertheless, Milwaukee would be getting an All-Star in return for Antetokounmpo, a headliner that not every team might be able -- or willing -- to offer.
