The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ rookie class officially has its jersey numbers, and every number comes with a little bit of franchise history attached to it. The rookie edge rusher will wear No. 3, a jersey most famously associated with former Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston. Winston wore the number from 2015-2019 and still sits atop several franchise passing records. More recently, safety Jordan Whitehead also briefly wore the number during the 2024 season.
This one immediately caught fans’ attention. 45 was most notably worn by Devin White, one of the most explosive linebackers in franchise history and a key piece of Tampa Bay’s Super Bowl LV defense. Before White, longtime fans may also remember Wayne Haddix wearing the number during his Pro Bowl season in 1990.
The big-bodied rookie receiver lands in a number recently worn by Sterling Shepard during the 2025 season. Before that, wide receiver Micheal Spurlock gave the number some franchise history when he returned the first kickoff touchdown in Buccaneers history back in 2007.

Scott takes over a number that has quietly bounced around the secondary in recent years, most recently being worn by Kindle Vildor before his departure to New England this offseason.
