The Buffalo Bills have officially signed former Wisconsin Badgers fullback Jackson Acker as one of their 12 undrafted free agents. This follows a season where no Badgers were drafted into the NFL.
On Friday, May 8, the Buffalo Bills announced former Wisconsin Badgers fullback Jackson Acker was one of their 12 signed undrafted free agents.
Numerous Badgers have gone on to sign as UDFA's this offseason. Seeing as the team didn't have a single player drafted, this is the next best possible outcome.
Acker had a lengthy career in Madison as he committed to the program back in June of 2019.
NFL's Aaron Wilson revealed he'd be joining the Bills in late April, but now the team has made it official.
"Acker, 6-foot-1 and 250 pounds, played five seasons at Wisconsin (2021-25). He rotated between multiple positions, playing halfback, fullback and tight end," the team wrote.
They added, "Acker finished his collegiate career with 94 rushing attempts for 415 yards and three touchdowns. He also caught 37 passes for 276 yards and three scores. Acker is a physical blocker as well. He is from Madison, Wis. and went to Verona High School."
Badgers fans have yet another former player to keep an eye on as Acker looks to be the next alumnus to leave his mark with an NFL franchise.
