Moore, a 6-foot-6 forward, is a redshirt sophomore from Los Angeles. He played his high school ball at Avon Old Farms School in Connecticut. In three years at The Citadel, Moore started 34 games averaging 9.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1 assist per game while shooting 36% from 3. Moore improved each season with the Bulldogs, averaging 11.2 points and 3.1 rebounds last season.
Moore brings length and shooting to Butler. He finished second on the team with 63 3-pointers, and he uses his strength to overpower smaller defenders off the dribble. Moore is a good not great athlete, but he's crafty in the paint. He gets to the basket with spin moves, finishes with either hand and utilizes fadeaways to score over defenders.
Moore's lack of explosiveness could be attributed to the serious knee injury he suffered nine games into his freshman year. Moore suffered the injury during practice in early December of 2024. He returned to the court Nov. 4 of 2025 for The Citadel's season opener against Boston College. Moore played all 30 games just 11 months removed from surgery. Moore's ability to shoot spot-up jumpers and coming off screens will make him a valuable part of the Nored's rotation. He could see minutes at the 3 or possibly as a small-ball 4 with certain lineups.
Adding Moore means Butler is forgoing adding another traditional center or point to the roster. The Dawgs are going into the season with Drayton Jones and Kevin Ndzie at the 5, and with Jalen Jackson as the only true point guard on the roster.
Moore is Butler's 10th commit and 15th confirmed player joining returners Jackson and Jones, Ndzie, forward Bryson Cardinal and guard Ethan McComb, along with international newcomers Marko Maric, Asim Djulovic and Samu Adler, and Mississippi transferĀ Eduardo Klafke, Florida Gulf Coast transferĀ Jordan Ellerbee, Kansas transferĀ Samis Calderon, North Dakota State transfer Treyson Anderson and incoming freshmenĀ Herly BrutusĀ and Noblesville guard Baron Walker.
