Hearts boss McInnes calls Celtic's last-minute penalty 'disgusting'

Freshmen Landry Wilson and Naomi Kreis secured fifth place in No. 2 Doubles at the Class 4A State Tournament. The Byng Lady Pirates finished seventh overall despite only qualifying three entries.
OKLAHOMA CITY â The freshmen duo of Landry Wilson and Naomi Kreis finished fifth in No. 2 Doubles Saturday at the Class 4A State Tournament.
âNaomi Kreis and Landry Wilson are two freshmen who came in and set high expectations for themselves. They have put in a lot of time and hard work and have improved significantly throughout the year,â Byng girls coach Morganne Powell told The Ada News. âWatching two freshmen battle it out at the state tournament and come out with a fifth-place finish was exciting.â
Despite qualifying only three entries for the tournament, the Lady Pirates still managed a seventh-place finish in the final team standings.
Ada captured the Class 4A state championship, while Riverfield Country Day School finished runner-up and Crossings Christian placed third.
No. 2 Doubles
Kreis and Wilson capped a strong tournament run with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Riverfieldâs Sophia Diaz and Emily Kiker in the fifth-place match.
Earlier Saturday, the Byng freshmen defeated Anna Acree and Brynlee Liniger 7-6, 6-1 before cruising past Ardmoreâs Shaylin Sykes and Scarlett Galloway 6-1, 6-1.
Kreis and Wilson opened tournament play Friday with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Stella Gorton and Katherine McMannis of Community Christian.
They were knocked into the consolation bracket after falling to Karlie Jones and Grace Wheeler of Lincoln Christian 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 in a hard-fought quarterfinal match.
Powell said she looks forward to watching the talented freshmen continue to develop.
âThereâs no doubt these two will have a significant impact on the Byng tennis program in the coming years if they continue to compete and stay hungry for more,â she said.
No. 1 Doubles
Junior Abi Canada and senior Emily Holloway also battled their way into a fifth-place match in No. 1 Doubles before falling to Riverfieldâs Nicya Moore and Katie Smith 6-1, 6-1.
Canada and Holloway defeated a Metro Christian team 6-2, 6-2 and then knocked off Madeline Laufer and Josie McConnell 6-0, 7-5 in the consolation bracket.
The Lady Pirates' duo opened the tournament with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Ryleigh Allen and Raegan Hipp of Skiatook before suffering a tough 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 quarterfinal loss to a team from The Academy.
No. 2 Singles
Senior Kylee Hood finished 1-2 in the No. 2 Singles division.
Hood dropped her opening-round match to Zoe Jackson of Riverfield, who went on to win the state championship.
She rebounded with a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Aubryna Piggee of Ardmore before being eliminated by Elk Cityâs Miranda Brasuell 6-3, 6-1.
The freshmen players are Landry Wilson and Naomi Kreis, who finished fifth in No. 2 Doubles.
The Byng Lady Pirates finished seventh in the final team standings.
Ada captured the Class 4A state championship.
