Cadillac F1 made its United States debut over the weekend at the Miami Grand Prix, and it was gifted a special pair of shoes for the occasion.
As part of the “Friends & Family” trend the company follows, in which it gifts exclusive pairs of sneakers to certain parties, Nike made a custom pair of Dunk Lows for the team.
To maintain their exclusivity, only two pairs were made and gifted to team owners Dan and Cassidy Towriss, who own the team via TWG Global.
The shoes are meant to celebrate American car manufacturers’ first F1 race in the States, one of three appearances that they will make on U.S. soil.

The Dunk Low silhouette was everywhere a few years ago, with it regularly selling out and reselling for way above retail for a long time.
The hype and interest have dropped notably since then, but it still remains a staple for many skaters and lifestyle sneaker enthusiasts.
The Cadillac custom shoe comes in a colorway that matches the team’s athletics. There is a white-and-black color contrast, with multiple nods to the star and stripes.
The shoe also has the date that the team officially started pressed into it.
Cadillac brought a special black-and-white livery for just the Miami GP, and it serves as the inspiration for the shoe.
“The Cadillac Formula 1 Team’s special Miami Grand Prix livery is a natural extension and speaks without excess. It’s deliberate and confident,” Cassidy Towris said of the livery.
“This is our first home race, and it mattered to us that fans still recognize what they’ve come to know. I can’t wait for the crowd to see it on track for the first time. There’s no place like home.”
