IPL 2026 | 'You die from that cramp': Ex-CSK star's remark on Krunal Pandya sparks fan outrage
Former cricketer's joke about Krunal Pandya's cramps ignites fan backlash.
Caitlin Clark returned to the Indiana Fever but struggled in their season opener, losing 107-104 to the Dallas Wings. She went 2-for-9 from three-point range, continuing a poor shooting trend from last season.
Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark (22) reacts Saturday, May 9, 2026, after losing the Fever’s season opener game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The Dallas Wings defeated the Indiana Fever, 107-104.
The Indiana Fever have their superstar point guard, Caitlin Clark, back on the floor after she was sidelined for all but three games last season due to various soft tissue injuries. Clark made her return to WNBA competition on Saturday afternoon, but things didn’t go quite as she or the Fever were hoping for.
Clark missed a late-game tying three-point attempt in a 107-104 loss to the Dallas Wings in the season opener, which on its own wouldn’t be much cause for concern. Unfortunately, Clark went 2-for-9 from deep in the game, continuing a brutal trend dating back to last season.
Over her last eight games, Clark is shooting just 9-for-58 (15.5%) from distance, an especially brutal streak from a player whose game revolves around her lethal ability to score from behind the arc.
There has been speculation that the downturn in her numbers is due to her health. Clark’s injury issues last season were well documented, and she worked with the medical staff throughout Saturday’s loss. She insisted after the game, however, that she’s ok, and that she just needed to get her “back adjusted.”
“I feel good,” Clark assured reporters after the game. “Started off a little slow, I think just the anxiety of the first game, trying to work through that. But overall, I felt good, felt fast out there. Felt like I was literally a couple buckets away from putting together a really, really good game and helping us win.”
She might not be back to her All-WNBA form just yet, but as soon as she’s settled and trusting her body again, expect Clark to hit her stride.
