Cameron Young cruised to victory at the Cadillac Championship

The weather did not exactly stop him.

Cameron Young became the latest player to register multiple wins on the PGA Tour this season as the Players Champion emerged victorious at the Cadillac Championship on Sunday in Miami.

Weather was indeed an issue, as it was for the Miami Grand Prix, and so much so that the tournament chose to go out in threesomes and off split tees. You have to do what you have to do sometimes.

Young was grouped with Scottie Scheffler and Si Woo Kim, and having to battle against the world number one hardly caused him to experience any setbacks in his game. Cameron finished Sunday 4-under for the day, good for 19-under on the tournament, and he cleared Scottie by six shots.

There was one setback, though. Early in his round Cameron saw his ball move at address and called a penalty on himself. It hardly impacted his run as noted.

Young now has three total wins on the PGA Tour (he also won the 2025 Wyndham Championship) and joined Chris Gotterup and Matt Fitzpatrick as the only players with multiple wins this season. He joined Justin Rose as the second player to go wire-to-wire in a win, Rose did it at the Farmers Insurance Open.

There is zero doubt that Cameron is among the very best players in the world right now. The top of the list includes him, the aforementioned Fitzpatrick and Scheffler, and obviously the two-time reigning Masters Champion in Rory McIlroy. It feels like things take a bit of a dip after those four before you get to anyone else.
