WR Flowers: Harbaugh's practices led to injuries
Zay Flowers claims Harbaugh's tough practices led to injuries for Ravens players.
The 2027 Masters is approaching, with over three dozen players already qualified for the field. Invitations are granted to past winners and top performers from major tournaments, including the last two Players Championship winners.
AUGUSTA, Ga. — You wait all year for the Masters to arrive, and faster than you can say ‘Fore please, now driving …” it’s over. The good news? We’ve got three more men’s majors (and five women’s and five senior majors) to look forward to in the next three months. The even better news for Augusta National fans? The 2027 Masters is less than a year away.
OK, maybe that’s a little too glass half full, but you can bet more than three dozen players are already looking forward to next year given that they know where they’ll come next April. Presuming the club doesn’t radically change its qualification criteria for invitations, all winners of the Masters, and anybody who has won the PGA, U.S. Open and Open Championship from 2022-26 are already in the field for 2027. The last two Players Championship winners also will get to drive Magnolia Lane a year from now.
Additionally, the top 12 players and ties on Sunday locked up invitations for next year. That included nine players who weren't already in the field: Tyrrell Hatton, Russell Henley, Justin Rose, Collin Morikawa, Sam Burns, Max Homa, Jack Knapp, Patrick Cantlay and Jason Day.
Of course, many players—professionals and amateurs alike—will fill out the lineup through traditional qualifying criteria over the next 51 weeks. (You can see all the ways players can earn invitations to the Masters below.) In the meantime, here’s the list of invitees. The total number is 54, down to 37 when you take out the 17 past champions who didn’t play in 2026.
