Carlisle United owner Tom Piatak has promised the club will not "stand still" in their efforts to get promoted out of the National League.
Carlisle missed out on the goal this season after losing 2-1 at home to Boreham Wood in the play-off semi-final on Sunday having finished third in the regular season.
"We are not here to stand still," said American Piatak in a statement on the club's website.
"The work has already started to review, improve, and make the decisions needed to move this club forward.
"Every decision will be made with one clear goal: giving Carlisle United the best possible chance to be successful and giving our supporters a team they can believe in."
After successive relegations out of League One and League Two, Mark Hughes' side achieved a club-record 95 points in finishing third.
Piatak admitted to "real disappointment" at play-off failure but he also acknowledges how much the Brunton Park club has improved in the last 12 months.
They had a crowd of 13,814 for the game with Boreham Wood, the highest attendance in the National League this season and better than all bar two games in League Two and an average home attendance of 7,338.
"This season has also laid important foundations, on the pitch, in the stands, and across the wider community," said the Florida-based businessman.
"There is a stronger connection around this football club today than there was a year ago, and that matters. Now we have to build on it with purpose."
Tom Piatak stated that Carlisle United will not stand still and is committed to making improvements to pursue promotion.
