The Ohio State football team continues to solidify itself as "Wide Receiver U." Carnell Tate was just selected by the Tennessee Titans with the No. 4 overall pick of the 2026 NFL draft. He becomes the second receiver selected in the top five picks in the last decade, joining another Buckeye great in Marvin Harrison Jr.
Tate was the clear No. 1 receiver going into the NFL combine. But as the prognosticators do, they found something to nitpick about, not feeling comfortable with Tate's 40 time. That didn't concern the Titans as the team went out to get an absolute playmaker for last year's No. 1 overall pick, Cam Ward.
Tate hauled in 51 receptions for 875 yards and nine touchdowns. He'll be asked to do a lot more in Tennessee as he'll be a true No. 1 receiver, something he never had to face at Ohio State with Emeka Egbuka and Jeremiah Smith.
