Coming off a sweep against No. 2 Georgia Tech, No. 8 Florida State returned home to Dick Howser Stadium on Tuesday, April 14 for a midweek matchup against Stetson University. Looking to regain momentum, the Seminoles responded with a 9–2 victory.
Sophomore designated hitter (DH) Hunter Carns led FSU hitters against Stetson. Carns smacked a three-run home run in the third inning to give the ’Noles a 4-1 lead. The three-run home run capped off a career-best performance for Carns, as he had five runs batted in (RBI) on three hits.
Hunter Carns had a career-best performance with three hits and five RBIs, including a three-run home run.
Florida State continued their momentum from a sweep against No. 2 Georgia Tech by winning 9-2 against Stetson.
