According to Carrington insider Sully, Man Utd was one of several top European clubs to send scouts to watch the young Belgian in action as Ajax hosted PSV Eindhoven in one of the biggest fixtures in Dutch football.
The journalist, who posted the news on his X (formerly Twitter) account, named Chelsea, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona as Godtsâ other suitors.
Godts was born in Leuven and began his career at Anderlechtâs academy. He then had a spell at Genk, before signing for Ajax in January 2023.
A year later, the winger was promoted to the first team, and heâs now considered a key player at the club, as evidenced by the 17 goals and 14 assists he provided across all competitions this season.
The 20-year-old landed on Lionel Messiâs Top 10 rising stars in the world, and made his debut for the senior Belgian national team in March.
Luckily for the top clubsâ scouts, they were in for a treat on Saturday, as Godts produced a Man of the Match performance.
