Cavaliers' James Harden usurps Stephen Curry in all-time NBA Playoffs points

The Cavaliers star usurped Stephen Curry for the spot after just knocking down his fifth point in Game 6 against the Pistons. As of the moment, Harden has 4,167 total points throughout his whole postseason runs. After dethroning the Warriors legend, he now sets his sights in trying to unseat Jerry West who has 4,457 points in the NBA Playoffs.

Coach Kenny Atkinson relied the most on Harden and Donovan Mitchell to eliminate the Pistons in Game 6. The veteran leader for the Cavaliers played 37 minutes and was trying to keep his squad afloat. He ended the NBA Playoffs bout with a team-high 23 points while knocking six of his 13 shots from the field and going 37.5% from three-point range.

He also dropped four assists to keep the Cavaliers offense going while also notching four steals so that the Pistons could not gain lethal momentum. By the end of Game 6 against the Pistons, Harden also committed a game-high eight turnovers.

While he did take this NBA Playoffs feat home over Curry and no one can take it away from him, the Cavaliers veteran now has to go through a win-or-go-home Game 7 to get his first conference finals appearance since 2019.
