Lewis: The Cavaliers took control of the series with a Game 5 win, but they've also yet to show anything confidence-inducing away from the friendly confines of Rocket Arena.
Cavs coach Kenny Atkinson has repeatedly noted the need for Cleveland to win the possession battle, but that trend keeps going Toronto's way, even if the Raptors are trailing in the series. And although it could be a major blow if Brandon Ingram is unable to play in Game 6, he's also been largely a non-factor in the series thus far, and Toronto has kept pace with Cleveland anyway.
The Raptors have shown they're not going to be pushed to the side easily. Although the Cavs on paper easily win the skill battle, Toronto outmuscled Cleveland to an extreme degree in Games 3 and 4 while at the Scotiabank Center. The Cavaliers still need to show they can bring their level of play on the road. Raptors 112, Cavaliers 109.
Ulrich: The weird thing about Game 5 in Cleveland is the Cavs won despite losing the possession battle.
The Cavs attempted 81 field goals and 28 free throws compared with the Raptorsâ 95 field goals and 25 free throws. The Cavs were outrebounded 48-35, and the two teams were tied with 15 turnovers each.
The Cavs got away with those numbers at home â making three more 3-pointers than the Raptors helped â but they wouldnât have gotten away with them on the road. Raptors 104, Cavs 100
