Texas A&M's 2026 offseason has entered its second phase, with the spring season officially ending last month. Entering his third season at the helm, coach Mike Elko and his revamped staff recently saw a record 10 players selected in the 2026 NFL Draft, making the 17 transfer portal additions that much more important to avoid a significant dropoff this fall.
After one season in College Station, star wide receiver KC Concepcion was selected 24th overall by the Cleveland Browns, leading to the late addition of former Alabama WR Isaiah Horton, who, during his one season with the Crimson Tide, reeled in 42 receptions for 511 yards and 8 touchdowns, including three scores against Auburn during the regular season finale.
Standing 6'4", Horton's size and ability to stretch the field were sorely needed last season, even though KC Concepcion and star junior wideout Mario Craver combined for nearly 2,000 yards. Texas A&M's redzone offense was a consistent issue due to both wideouts' lack of size, while starting quarterback Marcel Reed's confidence to push the ball down the field on 50/50 attempts should skyrocket.
Projected to be the Aggies' starting X receiver, CBS Sports recently named Isaiah Horton as the 16th most important offseason transfer addition in the country, and he is the second transfer wide receiver named behind new Texas WR Cam Coleman, who transferred from Auburn after two seasons.
While Horton is the only Texas A&M transfer listed, his impressive debut during the Maroon & White Game serves as the precursor for what could be a career year for the Tennessee native.
Isaiah Horton is seen as crucial due to his size and ability to stretch the field, addressing the team's redzone offense issues after the departure of KC Concepcion.
