Interest in the goalkeeper is growing, with a switch to Celtic now being discussed. However, Celtic are not alone in their pursuit, as Wycombe Wanderers and Polish side Jagiellonia Bialystok are also said to be tracking Ward, who remains under contract at the Steelmen until 2027.
As per Sky Sports’ Christopher Reidy on X, he said: “Motherwell keeper Calum Ward attracting interest after impressive season. Celtic, Wycombe and Polish side Jagiellonia Bialystok among clubs monitoring the 25-year-old for a potential transfer in the summer.”
“Ward signed new deal in December, until summer 2027.”
With Kasper Schmeichel expected to depart Celtic at the end of the current campaign, the Hoops are likely to enter the market for a new goalkeeper to challenge for the starting role.

Martin O’Neill is widely anticipated to step down from his role at Celtic this summer, meaning any ongoing transfer speculation comes with the understanding that a new manager will soon be in place.
Should the club opt to appoint Jens Berthel Askou, it is likely he would already be well acquainted with possibly a few of his Motherwell players, including Ward, who could feature prominently on his shortlist.
Ward – developed through Bournemouth’s youth system – spent a spell in Finland before joining Motherwell in 2024 as a second-choice option. It was under Askou’s guidance that he eventually secured the number one spot and he has never looked back since.
