May 4 (UPI) -- Jaylen Brown sounded off on Twitch, saying referees "had an agenda" against the Boston Celtics during their series with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Brown filmed himself on the streaming service Sunday. The 76ers eliminated the Celtics from the playoffs with a 109-100 victory in Game 7 of their first-round series Saturday in Boston.
The second-seeded Celtics were called for 23 fouls, compared to 19 for the 76ers. The seventh-seeded 76ers outshot the Celtics 47.6% to 39.8%. Brown called out 76ers center Joel Embiid for "flopping," or exaggerating contact to earn foul calls. Embiid scored a game-high 34 points, with 12 rebounds and six assists.
He then showed replays from the game.
"Its crazy this series, I was complaining about officiating, rightfully so, because our team finished dead last in getting calls," Brown said. "I was vocal about it. I got thrown out of some games. They kept saying it was a push off and stuff like that. Do you know how many players do that? That's a common basketball play.
"Every player does that. So why are you targeting me? They clearly had an agenda."
Brown also said he spoke to referees about the alleged "agenda."
"I actually spoke to some refs and there was an agenda going into each game," Brown said. "'Anytime Jaylen brings his arm up, just from reputation, just call it.' Paul George does the same thing. Jalen Brunson does the same thing. I can go down the list. It's a basketball play, whether y'all believe it or not. Everybody does that when you drive, especially when you got bodies on you.

"Philly took advantage of it, and they took advantage of the officiating, and it cost us to some degree."
He speculated that the agenda was a response to him criticizing referees earlier in the season. Brown also showed footage of himself shooting, claiming that referees missed several foul calls against the 76ers.
He called for the league to investigate the referees.
"I have comments on what I think the agenda is or has been versus myself or versus my team," Brown said. "They fine people for speaking the truth. If you go look at the official crews, if I had to say there's some referees that need to be investigated overall, out of all the officiating, we had three of them in the last three games. At the top of my list."
Brown averaged 25.7 points per game this postseason. He also logged a series-high 25 turnovers. He was called for 21 fouls, which was tied for the second-most in the series. His 10 offensive fouls are the most of any NBA player this postseason.
The 76ers outscored the Celtics 42-40 in the paint and led by as many as 18 points. The Celtics, who played without injured star Jayson Tatum, held a 41-3 scoring advantage off the bench.
Brown scored 33 points in the loss. Celtics guard Derrick White chipped in 26. Sixers guard Tyrese Maxey totaled 30 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists. Embiid logged 12 rebounds and six assists, in addition to his 34 points.
The 76ers became just the 14th team in NBA history to come back from a 3-1 deficit to win a best-of-seven playoff series. They will now take on the No. 3 New York Knicks in Game 1 of an Eastern Conference semifinals series at 8 p.m. EDT Monday in New York.
The winner of the series will battle the top-seeded Detroit Pistons or No. 4 Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference finals.
