After outlasting the Charlotte Hornets at home on Tuesday, the Boston Celtics head to Manhattan for their final road game of the regular season against the New York Knicks on Thursday.

It will be the first game of a back-to-back for the Celtics, who return home to host the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday and the Orlando Magic on Sunday to close out the regular season.

Thursday's game will also be an opportunity for Boston to clinch the two seed in the Eastern Conference with a win over the Knicks, who trail them by three games in the standings with three games to go.

Unfortunately, however, the Celtics may be a bit shorthanded Thursday night based on Wednesday's lengthy injury report.

According to the report, Jaylen Brown (left Achilles tendinitis), Sam Hauser (low back spasm), Neemias Queta (right toe sprain) and Derrick White (right knee contusion) are all questionable for Thursday's contest.

That's four-fifths of Boston's starting lineup. The only starter not on the report is Jayson Tatum, who's apparently good to go.

Most players are dealing with something at this stage of the season, especially given how hard the Celtics have played this year. It's also possible they may have sustained minor injuries during Tuesday's hard-fought win over the Hornets.

Still, Thursday's game is relatively high stakes for Boston given the postseason implications against a top rival. The Celtics need their best players if they want to beat New York, so hopefully Tatum has some help on Thursday.
