The Celtics didn't trail once on Sunday, and they quickly jumped to a double-digit lead with a 14-2 run in the first quarter. Boston outscored Philadelphia in each quarter, leading 33-18 after the opening period.
A methodical Celtics offense made half of their 90 field goals, with Tatum and Brown going a combined 20-of-38. Boston drained 16 three-pointers, but Philadelphia went an anemic 4-of-23 from downtown.
The 76ers couldn't get much going without Joel Embiid, who remains sidelined after undergoing an emergency appendectomy. Adem Bona tallied as many fouls as points (three) in the starting lineup, and backup center Andre Drummond scored two points in 21 minutes.
Boston will look to take a commanding 2-0 series lead when hosting Philadelphia on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
