The Boston Red Sox have lost four out of their last five games and remain in last place in the AL East.
During the top of the fourth inning of their 6-3 loss vs. the Houston Astros on Saturday, one particular play involving center fielder Ceddanne Rafaela and shortstop Trevor Story caught some fans' eyes.
After a fly ball was hit over Rafaela's head, the outfielder picked up the ball and threw to Story, who was covering second base. The latter caught the throw but failed to make the tag before Astros star Jose Altuve slid into second with a double.
Rafaela appeared to throw his hands in the air in frustration that the tag wasn't applied.
"Ceddanne Rafaela did not look very happy after Trevor Story didn't make an attempt to get Altuve at second," Tyler Milliken posted on X. "Good play by Marcelo saved a run right after."

Story discussed the play following Saturday's contest, and interim manager Chad Tracy addressed the matter on Sunday.
"We’ll keep it between us, and that’s what I think good teams do, we’ll handle it," the infielder said, according to a report by Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic. "There’s a human aspect to it and an emotional side to this game with everything that’s going on. And yeah, that’s part of being a professional, you learn ways to handle those things, and I think it’s as simple as that. I think you’re not going to catch me talking bad about any of my teammates."
"Trev and Rafa are handling that between themselves," Tracy added, per McCaffrey. "They’ll be fine. There are things that happen in the course of a 162-game season that, things like that happen, emotions, right? We’re trying to get our team on track. Water under the bridge. Those two will take care of it."
Rafaela has one outfield assist and has yet to make an error in 31 games this season, while Story has a team-leading four errors in 30 contests in the field.
