Ferrari star Charles Leclerc has revealed the three things he always does before getting into a Formula 1 car.
Leclerc, 28, is one of the biggest names in the sport, having raced for Sauber before joining Ferrari in 2019.
Since then, Leclerc has recorded eight victories, 27 pole positions and secured 52 podium finishes.
So far in 2026, the Monegasque finished third in Australia, fourth in China, and then came third again in Japan.
The 28-year-old currently sits third in the world championship standings with 49 points, 14 behind George Russell and 23 adrift of Kimi Antonelli.
Speaking recently on The Do Show, Leclerc was asked whether he has any rituals or routines that he has to do before getting into an F1 car.
In response, Leclerc revealed three things he always does before the start of a Grand Prix.
He said: “Yes, I do, the jumping rope, the cold bath and the diet. I tend to eat always the same thing before getting into the car.
“Proteins, either white fish or chicken, but in quite small quantities, and a little bit of carbohydrates, so probably rice is the easier one to digest before getting into a Formula 1 car. These are the two things that I eat before getting into an F1 car.”

It is well documented that F1 is one of the most physically demanding sports in the world, which means drivers have an extensive fitness programme that they have to stick to.
When asked about the amount of sleep he gets to recover, Leclerc said: “I’m not sure I target 12 hours every night because that will be quite extreme. I’m more about the eight-hour target. But it happens to me sometimes to sleep 12 hours, but not every night.
“Light therapy as well, I have it at home, recovery is more and more important, we have more and more races in Formula 1. So, always, less time to recover, it’s very important to be at your 100% all the time.
“You can only achieve that with recovery. Sleep is probably the core of it. I put a lot of importance on sleeping, yes.”
