Chelsea has been advised to sign Barcelona's Robert Lewandowski, who has scored 12 goals in 13 La Liga starts this season. The suggestion comes amid concerns about his limited playing time.
Chelsea Have Been Urged To Sign This Barcelona Centre-Forward: Good Option For The Blues?
In a recent interview with talkSPORT, journalist Andy Brassell urged Chelsea to sign Barcelona centre-forward Robert Lewandowski. Brassell said,
âOnly 13 starts in La Liga this season, although heâs been available for many more.
â12 goals in those 13 starts, which is still pretty good.
âWe know he can make a nuisance of himself against the best defenders still. So, if weâre talking about a one-year deal for him to play in the Premier League, great, I think go for it.
âNow, I know there will be people out there who say, âOh, well, you know a bottom half side could take a chance on himâ. Itâs not taking a chance, it is Robert Lewandowski! The only thing youâre taking a chance on is, can he last the pace?
âUnless youâre expecting him to start every game I think itâs a more than palatable gamble, I think heâd be good for Arsenal. I think heâd be good for Chelsea.
âYou could even argue heâd be good for Manchester United, if it wasnât for the fact that Benjamin Sesko probably needs a season where heâs gonna start all the games.
Chelsea is urged to sign Lewandowski due to his impressive scoring record of 12 goals in just 13 La Liga starts this season.

âAnd that would be your argument against Arsenal as well, the fact that (Viktor) Gyokeres has to play more to be more consistent and get better.
âI know he divides opinion but I think even though itâs not the perfect first season at Arsenal, itâs an acceptable first season at Arsenal. So, my immediate thoughts would be if weâre looking at big clubs; Chelsea for a year.
âNot that they will do because they donât tend to do the experience thing. But I think a bit of experience would be perfect for Chelsea.â
Lewandowski has enjoyed a good run of form at the Catalan club as he put in a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 37-year-old has scored 17 times and earned four assists in 41 matches for Barcelona this season in various competitions.

His current contract at the Nou Camp will expire at the end of this campaign, which could open the door for the Blues to sign him on the cheap later this year.
Lewandowski excels at finding some space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to engineer the odd chance for his teammates in the final third.
The Polish striker is a strong runner with the ball. However, he wonât be a long-term fix to Chelseaâs goal-scoring concerns this summer.
We can expect Lewandowski to bring more firepower to the West London clubâs attack. At 37, he might still have a year or two left in his locker to play at a high level. Hence, Lewandowski would be a decent option for the Blues to consider this summer.
