Chelsea are considering appointing former Barcelona manager Xavi Hernández next season according to reports.
The Blues are currently without a manager after sacking Liam Rosenior last month with Enzo Maresca having been dismissed earlier in the season.
According to journalist Miguel Delany of The Independent, Chelsea want to keep with a certain footballing philosophy and they feel that Xavi would be a good fit for the role.
Xavi is said to be one of a number of candidates being considered by the club alongside Xabi Alonso, former player Cesc Fàbregas, and Francesco Farioli, who just won the Portuguese league with Porto.
One name who had been linked with the Stamford Bridge post in recent weeks has been outgoing Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola, however his style of football is not considered to be in line with what Chelsea are looking for.
Chelsea believes Xavi aligns with their desired footballing philosophy, making him a suitable candidate for the managerial role.
Chelsea sacked Liam Rosenior last month and Enzo Maresca earlier in the season, leaving them without a manager.
