Chicago Bears restructure Garrett Bradbury's contract in 2026
The Chicago Bears have undergone some changes at center this offseason, which started with Drew Dalman's shocking retirement and continued with the trade for veteran Garrett Bradbury and selection of rookie Logan Jones in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
According to Spotrac, the Bears have restructured Bradbury's contract ahead of the 2026 season. Bradbury, acquired via trade with the New England Patriots in exchange for a 2027 fifth-round pick, has just one year left on his current contract, where he was slated to have a $5.7 million salary cap hit.
Per Spotrac, Bradbury has signed a renegotiated contract that converts $1 million in incentives into guaranteed money. Now, Bradbury is slated to make $4.7 million, with $3.7 million guaranteed, in his one-year deal with Chicago.

Bradbury was excepted to be the team's starting center for the 2026 season, and that could still very well be the case, but the addition of Jones puts things in question. The second-round pick will get an opportunity to compete for the starting job as a rookie, which could also explain the move to convert those $1 million in incentives into guaranteed money to put Bradbury at ease.
