One of the big offseason storylines for the Kansas City Chiefs was whether or not tight end Travis Kelce would return for another season.

After a year that saw the Chiefs go 6-11 and miss the playoffs, some thought Travis would hang up the cleats and ride off into the sunset with Taylor Swift.

But after a couple of months of "will he, won't he," we found out that Kelce was indeed returning.

However, for Chiefs general manager Brett Veach, who was on Sirius XM radio, he revealed he knew as soon as the season ended that Kelce was coming back.

"We played in Vegas last game of the season. We came back here that Monday, we had player exit interviews and Travis popped into the office," Veach said. "We talked about a lot of stuff on the coaching staff, on the roster staff, but he basically said, 'I'm not going out like this. I'm gonna take a few weeks off here, but let's get in touch and let's plan on me being here.'

"So, even though the media kind of went through will he return or won't he return, I think internally we knew he was coming back right away."
