Chiefs VP of Player Personnel praises group of undrafted free agents

The Kansas City Chiefs added some hopeful players to their rookie minicamp roster who weren't selected in the 2026 NFL Draft. Chiefs Vice President of Player Personnel Ryne Nutt discussed this year's group of undrafted free agents during his recent post-draft press conference.

"We're very excited. We think this is going to be one of the better free agent classes we've had. They're going to come in, they're going to push. It doesn't matter where you're drafted or how you come in the Chiefs organization." said Nutt, "It's kind of like what you do to create value for yourself. And we feel like there's a lot of guys here that we're going to bring in that are going to create value and are going to push some of the guys we drafted or the guys we have on our team. So we're super excited about it, and I think (at) rookie minicamp you're going to come in and you're going to see it, and I think you guys will be excited as well."

NFL rookie minicamp is a voluntary or mandatory orientation and practice session for all newly drafted players, undrafted free agents, and tryout players, held shortly after the NFL draft. It serves as a first-time introduction to the team's playbook, coaches, and professional standards.
