The 6’5 freshman wide receiver from Santa Ana, California, was one of the most highly touted prospects in the country, and Ohio State was able to land him this past December. According to 247Sports, Henry Jr. is the No. 2 wide receiver in the 2026 recruiting class and a consensus five-star across all major ranking platforms.
Henry Jr. losing his black stripe is a good sign for fans hoping he can be a day one starter for the Buckeyes come early September. He is now the second freshman wide receiver to shed his black stripe, joining Brock Boyd, who shed his stripe on March 31.
The Z receiver position is up for grabs this offseason after Carnell Tate left for the NFL, and many expect Brandon Inniss to hold down the slot role.
