Christian Yelich, a daily coffee enjoyer, has something brewing.
The Milwaukee Brewers outfielder and Milwaukee-based Colectivo Coffee have teamed up, along with Visit Milwaukee, on a new whole-bean bag of coffee, fittingly called the Yeli Blend, which launched in early May.
This comes just ahead of Christian and the Yelich family's fourth annual Home Plate Charity Concert on May 21 â more on that in a minute.
The blend, which is available for a limited time, features notes of milk chocolate, cherry, hazelnut and citrus, per the product's description.
Yelich's go-to coffee order is an Americano, hot or iced, depending on the weather, Marissa Worzella, Colectivo's marketing director, said in an email interview with the Journal Sentinel.
"Coffee is part of my daily routine, so getting the chance to collaborate with a hometown brand like Colectivo on my own blend is really exciting," Yelich â who's been a coffee drinker for six or seven years â said in a statement.
"I wouldn't say I'm an aficionado," Yelich told Brewers beat reporter Todd Rosiak. "I just enjoy it."

But, it's not just about coffee. It's about the cause.
For every bag of Yeli Blend sold, $1 will be donated to Yelich's Home Plate Foundation, which benefits causes important to him, including the Brewers Community Foundation and the Visit Milwaukee Foundation, Worzella said.
It also benefits Visit Milwaukee's Emergency Relief Fund for local businesses, and scholarships for local students attending area colleges and universities, according to Josh Albrecht, Visit's chief marketing officer.

"Knowing that Christian is a specialty coffee fan and was looking for creative ways to raise money for his charitable organization," Worzella said, "we thought this would be a fun way to work together while building excitement around a shared passion for coffee."
"The purpose behind it was to do something cool but that was also benefiting the charity," Yelich told Rosiak. "It's a unique partnership. It's a cool thing to do that's also doing some good."
The packaging features an illustration of Yelich, up to bat, with the blend's logo across the front of his jersey. It was illustrated by Kevin Callahan, a senior graphic artist at Colectivo. Being both an artist and huge baseball fan, it was especially meaningful for Callahan to help bring the collab to life visually, Worzella said.
This isn't the first time Yelich and Colectivo have worked together. Last year, the coffee purveyor donated Cold Brew cans to Yelich's charity concert. Their latest collab felt like "a natural next step," Worzella said.
âYeli Blend represents more than just great coffee," Worzella said. "Itâs a celebration of community, hometown pride and one of Milwaukeeâs favorite summer pastimes: baseball."
