Christian Yelich is going to the injured list due to an adductor strain, as confirmed by Brewers manager Pat Murphy. He is expected to be out for an extended period following his exit from the game on April 14.
Christian Yelich is headed to the injured list with a groin injury, Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy told WTMJ during an appearance on the morning of April 14.
"He has an adductor strain,” Murph told WTMJ's Wisconsin Morning News. “We’re going to put him on the IL. We expect him to be out for awhile.”
Yelich, who exited the game April 14 with left hamstring tightness, will likely officially be placed on the injured list before the Brewers' game against the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday, but no move has officially been announced by the team.

Murphy also told WTMJ the Brewers "are going to make sure that doesn't become chronic."
The Brewers are already without outfielder Jackson Chourio and first baseman Andrew Vaughn, so further adding Yelich to the list of injured Brewers would leave out three of the team's projected top five hitters in the lineup.
Milwaukee will try to snap a five-game losing streak beginning at 6:40 p.m. against Toronto.
