Clemson prospects could flood board early on Day 2 of 2026 NFL draft

With the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft set to get underway tonight, most of the attention is on which names will come off the board in the top 32. For Clemson football, the more interesting storyline might not fully play out until tomorrow.

In a recent network mock draft from The Athletic, several Clemson prospects were projected to still be available after the first round wraps up. That includes Avieon Terrell, Peter Woods, T.J. Parker, and Blake Miller—all players who have been discussed as potential first-round picks at different points in the process.

Seeing one player slide is normal. Seeing four from the same program land in that same range is where it gets interesting. It puts Clemson in a spot where they may not hear multiple names called tonight, but could quickly become one of the main storylines once Day 2 begins.

That kind of shift usually has less to do with the players themselves and more to do with how the board unfolds. If teams go heavy at certain positions early, others can get pushed down, even if the talent says they belong in the first round. Clemson just happens to have a group caught right in that middle ground.

Each brings something different. Terrell has the consistency teams look for at corner, Woods can disrupt from the inside, Parker has the traits to get after the quarterback, and Miller offers stability at a premium position.

So while Thursday night might be quieter than usual for Clemson, Friday could tell a very different story.
