How many wins the Cleveland Browns earn in 2026 is anyone's guess at this point. The talent roster looks better than it has in the last few years, thanks in part to great drafting from GM Andrew Berry, but with a new head coach and uncertainty at the quarterback position, it really is anyone's guess how they do this season. Still, it looks like the Browns got their first 'W' of the season.
The Browns, alongside the other 31 NFL teams, released their schedule for the 2026 season, and theirs easily cleared the other teams' releases. In arguably the best schedule release video of the offseason, the Browns dropped a 3:04 video that really captured the sense of that '90s nostalgia we're all looking for.
The Browns came up with a clever concept depicting key players as characters in a fighting game, matched up (in order) against their opponents for the season. Partnering with CAPCOM and their hit brand Street Fighter, the Browns put together a video that featured a retired, famous YouTube host, MatPat (Matthew Patrick), while using the folks at Dorkly for the animations and voice-overs.
The game in the video was dubbed Street Fighter CLE and was used in part to promote the latest update to the current game, Street Fighter 6: Years 1 & 2 Fighters Edition. They also partnered and promoted three Street Fighter pro tournaments.

The Browns' creativity and the choices for the announcement paid off, as the response to the video was overwhelmingly positive online.
While MatPat was the only person featured who was from Cleveland (Medina, to be exact), the Street Fighter game focused on several members of the team: Myles Garrett (Flash), Denzel Ward (Warden), Quinshon Judkins (Q. Jud), Carson Schwesinger (D.ROY), and Shedeur Sanders (S2).
The video then showcases all of the players beating up the teams in order, while making mention of moments from the recent past, like Garrett's record-breaking number of sacks in 2025. We're also treated to a few outcomes that fans are hoping come to fruition, like easy wins over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens, and the Cincinnati Bengals.
There's even an apparent dig at former Browns and current Atlanta Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski, with an oddly timed "I'll remember this L" graphic.
It's everything you would want from the Browns with something as mundane as a schedule announcement. It's fun, witty, informative, catches newer fans up, has some subtle digs and ultimately is just something worth talking about.
