Colorado basketball has used the 2026 offseason to fill multiple roster holes after three of its top four rotation players departed the program. The transfer additions have not been flashy, but are definitely filling needs.
Over the weekend, Tad Boyle continued to add pieces to his 2026 roster, landing a late commitment from 6-foot-5 guard Luke Mirhashemi from Newport Beach, California.
Mirhashemi's recruitment is somewhat unknown, as he is not listed on any recruiting services and has not announced any other offers. However, University of Wisconsin-Green Bay head coach Doug Gottlieb gave Mirhashemi high praise following his commitment to Colorado.
"Proud to be a small part of this young man's journey," Gottlieb wrote on a X. "Stude kid who is a 10 as a person!"
Mirhashemi looks like a typical Colorado redshirt for his first season in Boulder. Given that he likely won't be playing heavy minutes during the 2026-27 season, there are still three roster spots that Boyle must fill with players who can contribute right away.
CU's 2026 recruiting class now has four commitments, which include four-star forward Rider Portela and Australians Alex Dickeson and Goc Malual.
