Colts trade down in mock draft; land additional top 100 pick

Trading back at some point in this draft does seem to very much be in play for theIndianapolis Colts. So if that were to happen, how might a 2026 NFL mock draft unfold?

The Colts find themselves short on draft capital, with a modest seven selections in total and only two in the top 100, so the recipe for moving back does exist, not to mention that Ballard hasstrongly hinted at doing so twice now.

Using Pro Football Focus' mock draft simulator and the Rich Hill trade value chart to ensure that all trades are fair, here is how a three-round mock draft turned out for the Colts when moving back from pick No. 47.

In this trade, the Colts moved back to pick No. 56 in a deal with the Jaguars. The Colts traded away pick 47 (430) and in return received picks 56 (340) and 100 (100) -- landing an additional third round selection.

Here is how the mock draft unfolded with the Colts now having three picks in the top 100.

Pick 56: Anthony Hill Jr., LB, Texas

I'm not sure that Hill Jr. will be available at this point in the actual draft, but I could not pass up the opportunity to take him in this mock. Adding Hill Jr. to the linebacker room would provide the Colts with an immediate starter and a well-rounded presence at the position.

Pick 78: Jaishawn Barham, EDGE, Michigan

Barham measures in at 6-03 and is a bit on the lighter side for a defensive end, weighing 240 pounds. But with that comes impressive speed and good burst, with Barham posting a 4.64-second 40-time and 10-03 on the broad jump. He's had steady production during his four seasons, logging 20 to 21 pressures each year. Over the last two seasons, he has been one of highest graded run defenders among his position group.
