The Washington Commanders must surround Jayden Daniels with another explosive wide receiver weapon to give him the best chance to succeed in Year 3.
Washington has been linked to disgruntled San Francisco WR Brandon Aiyuk on several occasions, but it’s unclear if a deal will ever materialize this offseason. If the Commanders fall short in their pursuit of Aiyuk, they could execute Heavy’s Max Dible trade idea and send a fifth-round pick to the Cleveland Browns for a 27-year-old Pro Bowl WR.
“Jerry Jeudy has value in Cleveland this season, but not that much," Dible wrote Wednesday. "The team selected KC Concepcion No. 24 overall, then saw Denzel Boston fall to them at No. 39.”
The Commanders proposed sending a fifth-round pick to the Browns in exchange for Pro Bowl WR Jerry Jeudy.

Jerry Jeudy is currently valued at $52 million, but his future with the Browns is uncertain following the team's recent draft selections.

“Jeudy has two years remaining on his $52.5 million deal and will be an obvious trade/cut candidate heading into next offseason when the Browns are poised to add their QB of the future via the NFL draft or some other method.”
“Cleveland got him for a fifth-rounder and a sixth-rounder two years ago. If they can get a fifth back now, that’s more than a small victory given his two years of production for the end cost of a sixth-round draft selection. Win-win."
Jeudy’s career has been plagued by inconsistent performances, maturity issues, and a poor habit of dropping routine catches (he led the NFL in drops in 2024-25). That said, the former Denver Broncos wideout is undoubtedly a high-level talent with alluring space-creating chops and impressive speed.
Jeudy logged receptions for 602 yards and two touchdowns in 17 games with the Browns last season. The Alabama product is far from the best WR on the market, but he possesses an intriguing skill set that could result in him joining the Commanders via a blockbuster trade.
