Today we’re talking about Mizzou Hoops
Mizzou Basketball’s transfer portal haul started off with the additions of Jaylen Carey, Jamier Jones, and Bryson Tiller. It’s a good start for Dennis Gates and the staff as they have landed multiple Top-50 ranked players in the portal.
Though with the departure of Jevon Porter — there’s more work to be done with three open roster spots available — and guard play is a question mark.
Sure, five-star Jason Crowe Jr. is coming in, but guard depth is always a necessity. Per reports, Mizzou is looking to address the guard position within the SEC.
LSU’s Jalen Reece is expected to visit Mizzou this week along with Texas A&M and Ohio State.
Reece is a former four-star, Top-100 recruit and ended his freshman season at LSU scoring in double figures in seven out of the last eight games.
Meanwhile, Texas A&M transfer Josh Holloway is expected to visit Mizzou today — with West Virginia, Memphis, and USC also in the mix.
Holloway’s production was limited in his junior season at Texas A&M, but he is coming off a strong performance in the Aggies’ 2nd round NCAA Tournament loss to Houston with 12 points, four rebounds, and three assists.
Per 247Sports, Missouri’s 2026 class ranks 6th overall — but they’re not done yet. Stay tuned to RockM+ for more of our coverage on hoops.

But if the main goal of college players is to get themselves to the league, few teams in college football can boast a better record of doing that than the Tigers. Another half a dozen players hearing their names called this weekend would be another feather for Eli Drinkwitz’s cap.
This is pretty much the only reason why I pay attention to the NFL Draft.
We also, of course, will also be keeping a close eye on the future, as a trio of baby Tigers in the nation’s no. 6 recruiting class earned regional titles at meets around the country last weekend, including Raegan McCarty, who won a floor title in her Region 5 meet with a 9.775, Dakota (Coco) Haynes, who won a Region 6 bars title with a 9.750, and Imani White, who won a Region 8 beam title with an astonishing 9.90 (watch the routine at the link).
Imani also earned a 9.875 on vault with her Yurchenko 1.5 (which looks an awful lot like a 10 in NCAA), a 9.825 on bars and a 38.925 in the all-around. Raegan earned a 9.675 on vault.
The future remains bright for the Mizzou Gymnastics program as Shannon Welker is bringing in a star-studded recruiting class.
Young is the type of player teams love to have. He’s a proven producer, a natural born leader and has the technical nuances in his game that you sometimes can’t teach the freakier athletes who win at the college level because of their talent. Young will more than likely go early in Day Two, but don’t be surprised if a run on pass-rushers makes a team afraid to miss and move into the first round to pick him.
Zion Young headlines this year’s Mizzou Football NFL Draft prospects.
