Mizzou Football ranks No. 23 in post-spring Top 25 polls. The offseason continues until preseason practice starts in August.
Today we’re talking about Mizzou Football
Spring football has come and gone, which means we’re in true offseason mode until preseason practice starts back up in August. So, where does Mizzou stand in terms of rankings? The Tigers check into some Top 25 polls. Not that rankings even matter right now, but hey, it’s something to talk about.
Per Josh Pate — Mizzou comes in at No. 23:
CBS Sports’ Brandon Marcello has the Tigers at No. 20.
Missouri fell short of the CFP last season, mostly because of injuries and inconsistency at quarterback, but the Tigers upgraded this offseason with the addition of Ole Miss transfer Austin Simmons and Michigan OC Chip Lindsey. RB Ahmad Hardy, one of the nation’s best, returns. The roster looks different, and so does the coaching, but the schedule is once again navigable, and coaches seem more positive about offensive output.
Yes, even bowl projections were released with Mizzou vs Iowa in the Music City Bowl per CBS.
Meanwhile, Vegas isn’t as high on Mizzou as the Tigers’ over/under win total is set at 6.5 — per FanDuel Sportsbook. But that’s why they play the games. We’ve still got a way to go until the September 3rd opener.
With the loss, Mizzou misses the .500 mark and will spend a second consecutive season wondering whether Larissa Anderson is fit for the head coaching job moving forward.
A huge disappointment for the Mizzou Softball program. The Tigers miss back-to-back NCAA Tournaments for the first time since the early 2000s.
If you go by 247Sports’ rankings, MU assembled the nation’s No. 11 transfer class and, with its prep additions included, the No. 10 class overall. On paper, it’s the most talented roster the program has assembled since joining the SEC.
It’s a good start for Mizzou Basketball in the transfer portal — but more there’s more work to be done with two more roster spots to fill.
That said, it’s clear that he similarly has SEC-level talent and skill, which makes him a great in-state pick up for Mizzou. Lee’s Summit North has turned into quite a pipeline for Mizzou (as well as other P4 programs) so it is always great news when Drinkwitz is able to maintain connections with that program and pull at least one player every year or two to Columbia.
Caleb isn’t as highly rated as his brother Cayden, but this is still a good in-state pickup for Mizzou Football.
After missing the NCAA Tournament under Coach Sullivan, Kuhan and the rest of the rest of these young players come in with a chip on their shoulder and have an opportunity to make an early impact.
Welcome to the Mizzou Volleyball program, Ceylin Kuyan!
