In the final analysis, only three of the Steelers picks were taken ahead of their ranking on the big board. Offensive lineman Gennings Dunker, safety Robert Spears-Jennings and running back Eli Heidenreich were all higher on the board than their draft slot. Worst of the bunch was defensive tackle Gabriel Rubio. He went with the No. 210 pick but wasn't ranked at all on the consensus big board.
