Contract extended with Christian Zawieschitzky
FC Red Bull Salzburg have extended Christian Zawieschitzky's contract ahead of time and for the long term β the youngster has signed a new deal until 30 June 2030!
The 19-year-old Tyrolean joined Salzburg from Wacker Innsbruck's youth academy in the summer of 2020 and subsequently progressed through the various age groups of the Red Bull Football Academy (winning three league titles). Zawieschitzky then played for our UEFA Youth League team (9 appearances) and our partner club FC Liefering (27 matches). The Austrian U21 international has made five competitive appearances in goal for our Red Bulls, including at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the USA and in the UEFA Europa League.
We are very aware of Christian Zawieschitzky's qualities and are convinced that his journey with us is far from over. That's precisely why we extended his contract early and are delighted to have him as part of our team.
Marcus Mann, Managing Director for Sport
