Changes are afoot for both sides as Lazio and Inter prepare to do battle in the 2025-26 Coppa Italia final at the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday evening.
Inter, the recently-crowned Serie A champions, will be hoping to make it a domestic double against an underdog Lazio side, currently sitting in ninth place in the Serie A table. By coincidence, the two teams met in the league on Saturday, ending 3-0 in favour of the Nerazzurri.
Maurizio Sarri admitted during his pre-match press conference that he wasn’t best pleased with the performance that his players put in over the weekend, and pre-match reports indicate that he is likely to make several personnel changes on Wednesday evening.
Sky Sport Italia suggests that Sarri could change all three of his starting midfielders, with Patric, Kenneth Taylor and Toma Basic hoping to return to the XI.
Mattia Zaccagni is also expected to be available again after his recent foot injury, and is likely to return to the front three along with .
