Dart was a finalist for the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year award in 2025 for good reason. The Ole Miss product threw for 2,272 yards with a 15-5 touchdown-to-interception ratio across 14 games played, 12 of which he started last season. He was on pace to exceed 3,200 passing yards had he started all 17 games -- he did not attempt a pass in his first two appearances and saw only three snaps in each.

The Giants will experience some turnover in their receiving corps in 2026. New York's 1,000-yard receiver from last season, Wan'Dale Robinson, departed for the Tennessee Titans in free agency. However, the team will welcome back Malik Nabers, its 1,000-yard receiver from 2024, who is returning from injury.
New York also added rookie wide receiver Malachi Fields. The 6-foot-4 Fields projects as a deep-ball threat for the offense in 2026.
Dart's arm talent stood out as one of his primary strengths last season. He also showed the ability to make plays with his legs. With another year of experience, he should refine the rookie mistakes that cropped up in 2025, which could significantly boost his performance.
Reaching the 4,000-yard milestone in 2026 would require Dart to average 235.3 passing yards per game over all 17 contests. Excluding his first two games in which he attempted no passes, his average last season was 189.3 yards per game.
It's reasonable to project Dart averaging around 223.5 passing yards per game (not quite the same leap made by Drake Maye from Year 1 ot Year 2), which would yield approximately 3,800 yards next season. The 4,000-yard mark is well within reach.
With Russell Wilson no longer on the roster to serve as a bridge quarterback, and Jameis Winston now backing him up, Dart has a clear opportunity to develop into a high-volume passer in 2026.
