The Indianapolis Colts made a headline-worthy roster move on Thursday afternoon, releasing their 30-year-old Pro Bowl cornerback (2021) after failing to find a trade partner for the veteran defender.
As expected, many have already begun identifying potential landing spots for the Valdosta State product. The Big Leadâs Michael Moraitis believes that the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, and Cincinnati Bengals should be in the mix moving forward.
âThe Cowboys drafted Caleb Downs in the 2026 NFL Draft, and the expectation is heâll play in the slot, but Dallas might want to keep some flexibility with how it deploys its top pick, and adding Moore would allow them to do that,â Moraitis wrote.

Adding Kenny Moore could provide the Cowboys with flexibility in their defensive lineup, especially with their recent draft pick Caleb Downs.

âMoore would provide a clear upgrade for Kansas City on the inside and would greatly aid in the rebuild of a cornerbacks room that now includes first-round pick, Mansoor Delane.â
âSeeing as how the Bengals sprung for a massive addition in DexterLawrence in a trade with the New York Giants, itâs very possible a significant signing like Moore will be on their radar.â
While the Cowboys and Chiefs are obvious suitors for Moore this offseason, Cincinnati shouldnât be removed from contention. The Bengalsâ defense (particularly the secondary) struggled mightily last season, ranking near the bottom of the league in most statistical categories.
To Cincinnati's credit, theyâve already made a concerted effort to improve drastically on that side of the ball, signing several impactful free agents and, of course, going all in for Lawrence, as Moraitis noted.
Why not take things a step further by adding an experienced and proven CB who was an integral part of the Coltsâ defense for nearly a decade (he recorded 649 tackles, 11.5 sacks, and six forced fumbles in nine seasons with Indianapolis)?
It would certainly be worth considering, at the very least.
