Bournemouth reach agreement to appoint Rose as Iraola successor
Bournemouth has reached an agreement to appoint Marco Rose as their new head coach, succeeding Andoni Iraola.
The Dallas Cowboys are considering a renewed trade attempt for Raiders star pass rusher Maxx Crosby after a previous offer was unsuccessful. They may propose a deal involving this year's first-round pick and additional future picks to secure Crosby's services.
Jerry Jones began his tenure as owner of the Dallas Cowboys with a whirlwind of trades to lay the foundation for their 1990s dynasty. Over the last several seasons, those feelings have been reinvigorated as most notably seen in the jettisoning of Micah Parsons last summer. That's continued through this offseason, but is the club finished for the year?
Fox Sports Ralph Vacchiano feels the Cowboys should make a move for one of the league's best edge players; a move they tried once before. After failing to land Raiders star pass rusher Maxx Crosby at the onset of the new league year, Vacchiano thinks the Cowboys should pick up the phone and try again.
The Cowboys came close to landing Crosby by offering a first-round pick this year and a second-round pick next year before being leapfrogged by Baltimore who gave up two, first-round picks. The Ravens eventually backed out of the deal because of health concerns.
Now, Vacchio believes a new offer for this year's first-round pick (12th) and third (92nd), as well as the team's 2027 third-round pick might pry Crosby out of Las Vegas.
Assuming Crosby's knee isn't ravaged, it’s worth the risk for a team desperate to make a Super Bowl run, because adding Crosby would give the Cowboys one of the best defensive fronts in the league.
Even after "busting the budget" in free agency, the Cowboys defense remains questionable, with holes throughout the roster on that side of the ball. Revisiting a Crosby trade wouldn't solve all their issues although it would provide a spark the team lacked in 2025.
While adding Crosby would be good news, Vacchiano proposes moves for the rest of the division that would be a nightmare for Cowboys fans.
Browns edge rusher and reigning Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett would land with the Eagles for two first-round picks along with third-round pick. The Giants would get Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey for a 2026 fourth rounder a well a conditional seventh in 2027, while the Commanders would land Steelers wideout D.K Metcalf for a 2026 third round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick — similar to the compensation Pittsburgh received for George Pickens.
Some notable conference draft-day trade proposals would include the 49ers landing Pittsburgh's edge Nick Herbig for second and fifth-round selections, Minnesota prying away Dolphins running back De'Von Achane for a third and a fifth, and the Lions giving up a first and second-round pick for Titans star defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons.
