It was reported on Tuesday by Jordan Schlutz that the Cowboys are hosting free agent cornerback Adoree’ Jackson for a visit. Jackson has had a number of stops in the NFL, but he most recently played for the Philadelphia Eagles so he played in Parker’s secondary there. As noted, the Cowboys have really re-stocked the cupboard with the ingredients that Parker appears anxious to cook with. He has gotten some players who he worked with in the past in Rashan Gary and P.J. Locke, but no former Eagles player made his way to Dallas this offseason when we expected at least one to do so. Jackson was a first-round pick of the Tennessee Titans back in 2017 and played out his rookie contract with the team (there was some drama around his fifth-year option initially being exercised and then taken away as he was cut before it went into effect) before signing with the New York Giants in 2021. He was there for four seasons, so he has some familiarity against and Co. to say the least, before joining the Eagles last year. The Cowboys have needed to overhaul their cornerback group for a long time, and while their safety situation has been more than taken care of, this room still needs work.
