The Cowboys ended last season with the worst pass defense in the NFL, giving up 251 passing yards per game. Downs was the consensus best safety in the 2026 draft. He's a commander in the defensive backfield who can line up in the box, at slot cornerback or play center field.
Proctor was by far the best offensive lineman on Alabama's roster last season. The 6-foot-6 offensive lineman played tackle for the Crimson Tide. There's talk that he could kick inside to guard in the NFL. The Dolphins need assistance across their offensive line. Miami ranked 24th in pass block win rate and 29th in run block win rate last year, per ESPN.
The Dolphins are in the midst of a rebuild so it makes sense that they traded back to accumulate more draft picks.The trade makes a lot of sense for the Dolphins. The Dolphins went through a mass exodus this offseason. They released QB Tua Tagovailoa, WR Tyreek Hill and edge rusher Bradley Chubb, plus traded WR Jaylen Waddle.
