âI was thinking of not including him; he wasn't in good shape,â he said, as per ESPN. âHe was suffering from stomach pains and a general feeling of fatigue and, when I substituted him, he went straight to the dressing room and threw up.â
Ronaldo has remained silent on the matter, simply posting a celebratory photo on Instagram captioned, â+3. Great energy from the stands!â The former Real Madrid and Juventus star has scored 24 goals in 25 games so far this league season, just three goals behind Al Ahliâs Ivan Toney.
Jesus was also keen to praise the Al-Nassr faithful, penning a message post-game in which he said, âBefore discussing the technical aspects, I want to thank the fans.
âThe turnout was fantastic, and our stadium was even more beautiful with them there. Every match our fans play confirms our presence and competitiveness in the league. We want them to always be there for us.

He went on to add that Al-Nassr can ill afford to âwaste opportunitiesâ in the closing games of the season, commenting, âWinning by five goals or one goal is all three points in the end, and that is what is important for our team, and most importantly not to concede any goals.â
Jesus added that his side has â5 finals left and our focus is on every single one of them.â But along with their league title pursuit, Al-Nassr also remains in the hunt for the AFC Champions League Two, with their quarter-final against UAE side Al-Wasl scheduled for Sunday.
âIn four days we play in Asia, so we don't know our options yet because our opponent will be more rested and prepared than us, having rested for almost a week before the match,â he said. âBut we have time to think and prepare the team.â
